The USAEG wants to make your gymnastic experience as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Therefore we have put together a some helpful information that might help you as your child embarks on this journey.
- Safety is of the utmost priority at USAEG. Thus ensure that you have all necessary medical information available to either the coach or yourself.
- Make sure both you and your child get plenty of rest. Being overtired makes it difficult to handle stressful situations to the best of our ability.
- Make sure you pack clothing that is suitable to the environment in which the competition is being held. Check the weather.
- Traveling anywhere for competition can bring unexpected surprises. This is important to remember so keep this in mind when packing.
- Lastly and most important have FUN! Make sure you and your child focus on the process or effort of competition and not the result. Athletics is also about character not winning alone. Therefore it is vitally important that we are encouraging at all times.
