The United States Academy of Elite Gymnastics-Staff & Coaches

Here at the United States Academy of Elite Gymanastics we give the highest priority to the safety of your child and the quality of training they receive. Therefor the staff at USAEG have all been trained and certified through the United States Gymnastic Federation (U.S.G.F).

The United States Academy of Elite Gymnastics was founded in 1982 by James Trost. James is a member of the United States Elite Coaches Associaition and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from
Oregon College of Education.

In addition all coaches have recently been safety certified by Mike Taylor, the USA National Safety Certifier.We are to proud to say that United States Academy of Elite Gymnatsics is the only club in the area whose entire coaching staff are safety certified gymnastic instructors.

Jim has owned 10 gymnastics clubs over the last 22 years, in three states: Oregon, California, & Idaho.

In addition to gymnastics Jim has coached women's fast pitch softball at the high school and college level. His efforts in this area led to 5 state championships, 2 NAIA college championships, and a berth to the NCAA Championships.

His dedication to children has been the foundation of USAEG for nearly 20 years, and has been the primary component of the gym's success.

As a parent, I am concerned about three important issues.

First, the safety of my child. This is my biggest concern as I am sure it is yours. No child here at USA will ever have his or her safety compromised. Trust is something we earn, not something that is given to us.

Second, Fundamentals. Are they teaching my child correct fundamentals? Are they using progressive skills evaluation, so my child will be challenged in his or her class?

Third, FUN. Is my child having fun? The classroom should be creative and the teacher in charge must be enthusiastic about my child's learning.

This is why we at USAEG utilize the teaching guidelines set forth by USA Gymnastics & the USAIGC. These guidelines combined with innovative and motivating teaching methods provide your child with a fulfilling experience.
